How it works
Important to know
- For you, this means expanded options to have your labs drawn outside a traditional lab visit, using your insurance's preferred lab.
- No extra insurance approvals are needed. We collect the samples onsite and prepare them for pickup; your in-network lab still handles all processing, resulting, and communication with insurance.
- There are no extra fees. Insurance is charged the same small collection fee as a traditional lab visit, with the added convenience of a staff you trust in one full-service location.
During your provider visit, we will identify the lab that is in-network with your insurance plan and set it as your "preferred lab".
You will then work together with your provider to determine what labs you may need for routine lab work, sick visits, or new health concerns.
Your provider will then place a lab order to be collected in-house.
Once you proceed to the check-out desk the staff will direct you to the waiting area and alert the lab staff that you are ready for lab collection.
The lab staff will get you from the waiting area and take you back to the lab where the samples will be collected, labeled, and made ready for pick-up with the designated courier from your lab.

If this is done during a clinic visit, you will schedule this future lab appointment the same way you would schedule a clinic visit. If this is done outside of a visit, the front desk will contact you to schedule the lab visit.
When you check in for your appointment, the front desk will direct you to the waiting area and alert the lab staff that you have arrived and are ready.
The lab staff will get you from the waiting area and take you back to the lab where the samples will be collected, labeled, and made ready for pick-up with the designated courier from your lab.

Urine
Used for detecting urethral and bladder infections in comprehensive screenings.
Blood
Essential for screening for many disorders and routine follow up on health condition status.
Oral swabs
Important for identifying infections in the throat like strep, or chlamydia and gonorrhea for those who engage in oral sex.
Rectal swabs
Necessary for detecting infections in the rectum.
Nasal swabs
Nasopharyngeal swab testing is used often in rapid screening tests such as influenza (flu) and COVID when you are sick.
